Does anyone know of where some actions are that are compatible with photoshop elements 4.0? I hear they exist...just not sure where to get them! :)

I'm discovering more and more things I wish I had regular photoshop for instead of elements!

The Photoblast actions are supposed to be PSE4 compatible (I use PSCS2 so haven't tested the PSE versions) - they're available at ezactions.com and digiscrappin.biz

Itty Bitty now has Plug-ins also for PSE4

I have an Elements Action Pack (http://www.cgessentials.com/CGECart/store/comersus_viewItem.asp?idProduct=973) of 10 actions for only $12.50. It works in PSE 2, 3 and 4 (not MAC, though).

I have the photoblast actions and use PSE 4.0 -- they are WONDERFUL! I keep playing with them but haven't scrapped a pic with them yet. I will tonight!

I have Kim Hill's of CGEssentials "Color Effects" action set and just love it! They work for elements and photoshop as she offers them for each. I am horrible about getting dark photos that lack color and her actions just seem to make them pop out and look picture perfect. They are extremely easy to use and she includes instructions for them as well.

Here are a few samples of photos before/after action ran on them. I used the radiant and bright burst actions on these.

Do any of you happen to know how to fix a blurry photo....Also those of you with pse 4....do you know where I could learn more about this program?

Thanks

Sunshine lewis,
I also am just learning PSE4. 2peasinabucket has new info up under digital, and if you don't find your topic you can search threads in digital and usually find it. I know other digisites have those areas on their pages too. Also the official adobe elements page is a good one.

Has anyone tried the plugins from Scrapping Pro (http://scrappingpro.com)? I think that's what Crissy's talking about. (I think they used to be sold via Itty Bitty, but are now sold directly.)

I was going to suggest Kim Hills awesome ones! But I see a few posts on that already. So I second them instead..lol

They are great, and really well priced too...

If your photo is just a little blurry, you can either do a "high pass" or "unsharp mask". It helps, but you need to be careful not to overdo it or your photo will look rather cartoonish.

If you want some PSE 4 tuts, you can check out the DigiScrapping Tutorials (http://www.digiscrappingtutorials.com) site. Good stuff there. ;)

I know, I know - this may sound elementary but truly that is where I am at in digi land with PSE 4.0 - what are actions??????

Thank you teachers!

Shannon, an action is a recorded set of commands that you can use in PhotoShop to enhance or alter your photos or elements. With one click, you can use a B&W Conversion Action to change a color photo to black & white. Or with one click you can take a piece of digi paper and turn it into frayed fabric. So fun!

Just a note - in PSE, actions are called effects. Wasn't sure if that was made clear in this thread, and didn't want to confuse anyone!
I've tried Photoblast effects & atomic cupcake effects - LOVE THEM - and next on my purchase list is Kim Hill's pack.
