View Full Version : Photography Challenge for this week
09-10-2006, 08:50 PM
Ok, I haven't got this assignment done yet either, but I thought we should challenge ourselves to take pictures of something that represents or captures the 'feeling' of the fall season. Think outside the box of what that could be beyond the leaves turning colors.
Here are some idea starters...school buses, field of hay bales, apples in an orchard, mums in bloom, weiner roast over an open fire, hayrack rides...you get the idea. Now I got to think of something for my photos too, LOL. I think these would make great photos for scrapbook pages too.

Great Challenge! How about my front porch? Yesterday I made a Scarecrow and then made a display for him by the front door. I scrapped it and here it is:

Wow Michelle, what a great layout! Obviously you are creative beyond just your scrapping and photography :) Yep, I think this definitely represents fall.

Thank you Debbie, you're so sweet!
I started woodworking and decorative painting about 27 years ago.... I have too many obsessions/addictions/hobbies LOL

Here's one I took Yesterday, Says Fall to me :) Shadows on the face cuz of the sun but here it is.

Hmm, this could be a challenge here in hot, sunny Florida, but I'm up for the challenge! Off to think about it.

Peggy, love your photos, especially the apples. That reminds me of fall. Marnel, great photo too! Ok, must get this done myself. I think I'll take my camera to the grocery store where pumpkins are lined up on the sidewalk right now :)

How about a cool goosed shaped gourd???
Or making homemade apple cider **yummy**

That goose neck gourd is so cool! I've always wanted to grow those, but never took the time or had the patience. Very neat photos, TFS!

ITA with you, Erika! I'm in the desert of So Cal...will have to work extra hard for this challenge! (We still have highs of 100 degrees every day, but not for much longer...yay!)

I didn't have much chances to catch an autumn photo because of the good weather, but here are two of my son splashing in a puddle...
The quality is not that great, but my Nikon Coolpix makes horrible photos when the light isn't perfect...

I'm new to DST and had to jump in on this challenge even though it seems to be finished LOL....
These are pics I took yesterday 10-1-06 about 2 minutes apart. The clouds were just moving and reshaping all afternoon. By 7pm, the sky had NO clouds and was bluer than blue.
To me, these pictures represent Fall in Pennsylvania This is what our skies look like each fall. Clouds that are a brilliant white color that merge into a dark black in color - all within the same cloud. These clouds represent the impending doom of Snow that will fall all too soon here in PA!

"These clouds represent the impending doom of Snow that will fall all too soon here in PA!" Unfortunately, that is so true!! :(
