I heard a news report a few weeks ago that this season is pretty much shot for all the shows. Does that mean we can't expect ANY new episodes until next fall ya think? :(

Oh no, I don't think I can wait until the fall. It's bad enough that we have resorted to watching reality and Discovery.

Don't start celebrating quite yet...
Deadline Hollywood Daily (http://www.deadlinehollywooddaily.com/wga-timetable-for-next-few-days/)Do not, repeat, do not, believe anyone who claims that the writers strike is over yet. (Like the sign says in photos taken by Jim Stevenson from today's WGA picket at Disney Studios.) Here is what informed sources are telling me as to the WGA's plans for the next few days...

And from Variety.com... Strike winding down?
WGA pickets awaiting outcome of meetings (http://www.variety.com/article/VR1117980463.html?categoryid=1066&cs=1)

Those are the most recent articles, from Thursday evening, at those sites.

Everyone is reporting like it is over, but it's not a done deal and there's much work to be done still before a deal is agreed to. I really hope it's over this weekend, but hold the party, because they're not quite there yet.

I figured we'd have to wait for fall because by the time they'd write and shoot the shows, the season will be over. They'd better extend the season in the fall on the more popular shows if they want to win some people back. Sucks for the networks too that they settled right before February sweeps.

At least we still have Netflix, and BBC America. We've been watching the British version of Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares.

Yup, even if they get all the work done and really finish the strike out we won't see new episodes till the fall season :( That stinks!

This is us, too!

Gosh, I hope it's ::REALLY:: over, the evil strike and all.

And not until the Fall? Sheeesh, that really stinks! I guess we will
be diving into our Arrested Development and The Office dvd's of
past episodes to try and get us by until fall.

And of course all this strike business happens when Jim & Pam are
FINALLY together, sheeesh! Just my luck, lol!

I read somewhere (don't remember where...) that 24 will start in September. Still an eternity away, but I guess better than January. The only problem is that it might get interrupted by baseball? I thought they said at some point that they would only air it without breaks and that's why they picked January as a starting time.

A friend of mine met Kim Delaney, CLAUDIA JOY FROM ARMY WIVES @ work she thanked her for watching and I told her that once the writers strike is over.. it will take about 3 weeks to get sripts ready and it will be on not to much longer after that!

My brother lives in LA and he is in SAG. He told me several days ago that he heard from a good source that they had shaken hands and come to an agreement. He said they didn't release any information about it until now because they didn't want people to stop picketing until the agreement was signed and it was officially over.

I think I read that they could still save this season if the strike ended soon enough. On Jenna Fischer (Pam from The Office)'s myspace, she said they had a really good script for the next episode, but the actors walked out when the strike started.

Woohoo! :yahoo

I know there are more important things going on the in the world, but even so this makes me want to jump up and down. I wish there was a way to have new eps this season, but I don't think there's time to plan, write, and film before the point that they usually wrap up for the season.
