Hey guys, this is so cool. I love scrapping and people are always commenting that I should do this for hire. How do you go about it? Where do you purchase stuff that are OK to use for such albums? How do you get your clientele? This sounds right up my alley. :yahoo
Thanks so much

This isn't always the heaviest trafficked board....
Start by reading through some of the threads here. You will find lots of gals in the same boat as you with many of the same questions.
'Purrceys' has compiled the most fantastic list of S4O friendly designers. What an awesome job she's done. Take a look there; you may already own some work from these wonderful designers to get you started....

Thanks for your reply. I have a question though that I didn't find by looking through the boards.
How do you get your clientele? Is it internet based, or do you do local adds?
Clientèle is something I don't usually discuss here. I will say I get most of my clients locally, but the website is like an extended brochure for them and is a lot cheaper than printing. So I recommend a web presence. Plus the occasional customer stumbles upon it too :)

That is a question all of struggle with I think (particularly in the early throes of building a business). I cannot stress enough how important it is to create a business plan in writing. S4O businesses are as different as their owners.
It depends on what you want to focus on, product and clientele-wise, how fast you want to grow, and your willingness/ability to sink money into your new business.
As to a web presence, that is certainly a help. Though I seriously doubt they generate much business, they are a wonderful operating platform to give your clients somewhere to go and browse or contact you. Keep in mind, they can be expensive and time consuming.
Hope this helps a little.
