i was wondering if anyone here was just in the business of doing cards/announcements/invitations?
I did it about 2-3 years ago and i have started again just recently.
I do mine quite differently than anyone else as far as I know. I offer stand alone photo cards but offer much more than that. I was wondering if anyone wants to network with me and share supplier/printer info and just chit chat about the business. I do not do scrapbook pages just cards. I am also looking at extending it to include business products as well. If you are interested you can add me to hello.
MissPix is my user name there.

Where are u selling your products atm?
I am selling on Ebay right now but looking at other options.
If anyone is interested we could start a yahoo group or private forum somewhere unless Shannon would agree to make one for us for just business purposes.

Right now I am only designing but my goal is to to start to sell invitations, announcements, invites, etc. I want to really branch out but it will take me a little time to get everything off the ground since I am limited on time with two small kids. I would be interested in hearing what other products you offer. I have really gotten into Shutterfly lately and I was thinking that it would be nice to offer custom calendars, mugs, etc. as well. I am not sure who I would go through to print those products other than maybe Shutterfly... but for now its a nice idea at least. Dh takes the stuff I make to work and all the girls ask him when I'm going to get my website up and running so that they can order. Some day...

I am currently researching printing options for business items including labels, business cards, and other items
I was doing this once before and then started designing the graphics and got sucked into designing kits but since I couldn't sell kits to save my soul it was easy to give that up. LOL I did extensive research on how to get the most bang for THEIR buck. I wanted to have something nice that even someone on the strictest budget could afford. Right now I can do a wedding set (inv. RSVP & thank you) for $1.75 and that is with envelopes for the invitation, RSVP & the thank you's. My printing from home is very limited. I don't do much of that at all.

I make announcements, invites, and holiday cards. I am currently in the process of redesigning my site, and adding some more products to the line up. I do not print any of my items myself, I use a professional printer for everything. I sell everything from my own website, www.jeffersonallenwadedesign.com (http://www.jeffersonallenwadedesign.com) (which I design and run myself).

I just do it for friends and family, not for business, but we own a print shop, so if you're interested in pricing, etc, send me a pm
CafePress is pretty cool! it's pretty much just like shutterfly, only more stuff, and you can have your own store and set your own mark up. I thought about setting up a store, but just never found the time.

I used to do letter stationery and invitations. But that was a few years ago and I sold them printed out. Including the envelopes. I would make my own envelopes with a template that I purchased from someone. Was a lot of work and sold for a really cheap price.. I dont think id start it up again though.
Cheers
