I'm wondering when you are creating announcements, what do you have them printed on. It seems cheap to do the 4x6 photograph route, but I really can't seem to find good options outside of that. Anyway, hope this makes sense.

I don't print them myself, I use WHCC. They are very good to work with, and offer various sizes and paper types.

I use Costco, mostly for the prices and the quality is fantastic. I have had NO problems with either 5 x 7 and 4 x 6. I think they do square sizes now too but they are a bit pricier.
first question, what's WHCC? I'm about to order my sister's birth announcements from Vista Print. I personally love them and the fact that they have so much free stuff. :)

Its a printing lab. A lot of photographers use them. Heres the link (http://www.whcc.com/).

I actually used FedEx Kinko's yesterday to print on their cardstock. I was in a hurry to get them printed and didn't want to wait for shipping. They look fabulous! They were a bit expensive, but I was right there in the lab, correcting any mistakes on the spot. I'll probably use them for my complicated rush jobs.
