***UPDATE 6/11/08: I have some exciting updates!!
#1: Sally from IOD and Prima, will be there!!! YEAH!!! She is so awesome and she will be doing a very cool hybrid make-n-take for us!!!! WOOOHOOO!!!!
#2: Traci Reed from Sweet Shoppe will also be there!!
#3: We will be giving away a FREE collaboration kit featuring the Green Tangerines Digi girls, the one and only Traci Reed, and the awesome and talented Sara Carling
(who is now designing for the paper company imaginisce!!)

***UPDATE: 6/7/08: Just wanted to let everyone know that is interested in coming to the digi crop that they are going to open up the crop to traditional scrappers on Monday.......We ALWAYS have sold out crops, so what does this mean for you?? If you want to come or are even thinking of coming you need to call and sign up NOW!! Even if you aren't sure if you can come, I would sign up now and you can cancel 48 hours in advance. Don't want anyone to miss out on the fun!!!***

Cost: $15 includes dinner, drinks, dessert, demo, and maybe a surprise FREEBIE from some pretty cool designers.

Space is limited so you do need to call in to pay and reserve your spot!

Also, it is FREE to work in the workshop during the day. So, if anyone wants to come early and start scrapping you are welcome to do so.

Ok guys, some of you know I am now working at an awesome scrapbooking store now. It's 10,000 square feet and they even have a digital room!! So, I asked the owners if we could have a digi crop and they are ALL over it!!!

I will know more details within the next week but I wanted to get the word out. Bring your laptops or your desktops, we will have plenty of power. Or if you can't bring any of those we do have a small digital room that you can use that has PSE 5 loaded on them!

I am in the works trying to get some super cool designers that we all know and love to be there!

So, who is in??? Please responed if you think you are going to come so we can get an idea of the number of people to expect and I will be back with more details!

Sam - yes, we do have both basic gray and maya road albums. We don't carry them all but I am going to see if the owners will start carrying a few more since I have had a few people ask. If you are looking for something specific let me know I can see if we have them in stock.

We have space for 40 right now. To reserve your spot please call in to the store and let them know you want to come to the digi crop, they will take your CC# over the phone or you can come in and pay if you are close.

When is dinner...what exactly does a crop entail? I've never been to one and don't really know what happens. I do know I can't be there for 7 hours.. so I'd like a little more of a breakdown or schedule if possible before I commit.

Basically a crop is dedicated time to scrapbook. There is usually no schedule other then when dinner is served. Everyone brings their supplies, at a digi crop it would be your laptop your downloaded kits, etc. Everyone would hang out, socialize, work on layouts, look at each others projects, shop, etc.... Dinner is usually around 6:30. Where else can you find a BIG group of digital scrappers in one place, where we can hang out and other people in the room actually know what we are talking about?

Since this is our first digi crop we will be having some sort of a demo or make-n-take that you are welcome to do, most likely between the first couple of hours 5-7. It would be like a 5 minute project that you can do at anytime.

12x12 prints will be available, we have an HP, prints are $3.99 and a Noritsu, prints are $3.49. Other size prints are available.

DEBRA - did you just call and reserve your spot and they said there were already 18 people signed up???? If so, that is AWESOME!!!

Hey Jenn...the gal that I talked to (the digi gal) said that there were already 16...so that my sil and I made 18. Maybe I misunderstood...or she had names of those that were interested, but hadn't signed up. I called in though...so I didn't see a list. I hope that a lot of gals can make it!! This will be a blast!! I'm really hoping to convert my sil over to digi...That will be one of my main goals that night!! She's a paper scrapper...loves your store, but is also a CM consultant, and has thought about using their computer program!! I'm like, "NOOOOOO"!!!! LOL!! I want her to hear it from others, to see what everyone is making, and how easy and fun it is. I'm hoping to put a hybrid project together with her.

Anyhow...I'm totally excited!

Is it possible that someone will teach a class in blending or extractions, etc using PSE? I have PSE 4, but I'm sure I can use it even if an instructor has a more recent version. I'd love a class in one of those or even one in having a good eye for layering elements.

I'm really looking forward to it!! My sil went to a crop there last week, and she said it was fabulous!! She said the food was delicious too! She is totally excited about learning to digi scrap as well, so I'm going to kind of work with her on Fri and a bit on Sat...just kind of go over the basics, but I'm just going to let her use my laptop and I'll help her!

I just got my plane tickets today! I waited a little too long since I was waiting on my parents for them to check on something, so I had to pay a little more. Maybe $10 a ticket for 3 of us. Could've been worse though!! Went through priceline to get my rental car too...Got a great deal there!! So....my new laptop is here...fully loaded with everything I'll need, got my tickets....I'm ready!!

Hi Guys - I'm so sorry - I'm the one that took photos. I need to get them uploaded to post if you want to see them. We are two weeks from leaving for China to bring home our youngest child and life has been CRAZY! to say the least. I'll try to get to it this week!

The crop was FANTASTIC! I am so up to go again (but probably not for a couple months due to said new child...:) ) But as soon as we are settled I'm all for it and I have a couple of local friends I am sure I could convince this time around.

We had SUCH a fun time, really enjoyed meeting everyone. Next time I want to make a weekend out of it. I live just over 2 hours away and that was a hard drive at midnight so for anyone else out of the area, I'd be game for a weekend.

I cannot say enough about this store, the people that work there, it was really a wonderful place to go!

Awww! I wish I had seen this earlier. Green Tangerines is just a 30 minute drive for me. Love that store. I met Meredith there and we talked briefly about digital scrapping. Darn! That's so wonderful that there are so many digiscrappers and digidesigners in Northern California. I would love to meet you all too! I hope there's a next time.
