I'm so excited...DH just told me one of his friends at work is thinking about hiring me to do a wedding album...they wedding is coming up in September and all I can think of at first is to find out who the photographer is and see if I can work out permission to use the portraits. Also wondering if the photographer is sticking around to do snapshots and candids at the reception, if the couple plans to put disposable cameras on the tables for guests to use during the reception, etc.

So now I have questions...has anyone been able to network with pro photogs in their area for doing wedding albums or has anyone had experience with dealing with the photog's copyright? share your advice please! Thanks!

I have one photographer who is willing to work with me and even send me clients if they want albums. I think if you explain that the album is a one-copy deal and/or offer to split the profits with the photographer, they would most likely be fine with it, unless they offer album services, too.
