Do you adjust the sats/hues or is there a way to use the color dropper?

TIA

I'm interested to know this as well. Sometimes I go to enhance>adjust color>color variations, but I'm sure there's something else I could be doing that's a better technique. So all you advanced people out there, let us newbies know how you're doing it. :D

if it is a solid item, just use the paint bucket to flood-fill the area. You can unclick "contiguous" and it will get every part of the paper that is the "wrong" color changed to the "right" color.

If it is not a solid item (i.e. a flower with texture and various shades) you can use image_adjustments_hue/saturation.

you can use the dropper with adjust hue/sat.

pick up your color first with the eyedropper
then open the hue/sat menu
and check the box that says colorize
you may or may not get the best result right away -- play with the saturation and lightness sliders if need be

If you still can't get what you want, try reducing the color saturation in the original piece FIRST and then try the above steps

keep the preview box checked in the hue/sat menu to see your changes on your original. you can always cancel out of it if it's not going where you want --
