I love this layout: http://www.digishoptalk.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=840&limit=last14
Lifelace says that she combined a brush with a patterned paper. I would like to know how she did it!

Thanks, Kanoe

I work in PSCS2 - I don't have it open right now, but if I recall correctly, I do this:

My brush stroke is on one layer and my patterned paper is on the layer above it. With my patterned paper layer active, I press CTRL+ALT+G which creates a clipping mask with the brush - basically it "fills" the brush stroke with the patterned paper.

Hope this helps!

You can save anything as a pattern, open any pattern paper or w/e then go to Edit > Define Pattern. I hope I explained that right. :? Then just brush what you want and then go do a style pattern overlay.

This is for Photoshop.

Laura, I know what you mean. There is always yet another way to do things in PS, isn't there? I would never have thought of the pattern overlay method, but would have used the clipping mask. Thanks for pointing it out.

I just got the August CK, and is this the same technique that Rhonna Farrer uses on her LO on page 72? I am looking at how she used the picture for the word 'Sisterly'. Off to go try this out!!
