Hi, my name is Ashleigh, and I am obsessed with any and all things political. I will watch CNN on tv while I am reading news and editorials online, Googling to find more information, reading debate posts on here, and having a political discussion with my dh.

About a month ago, my dh asked if I thought I could keep this up until the election. I am out to prove that I can. :P

My name is Jamie and I'm right there with you, Ashleigh. I keep telling myself that, *just for one day,* I'm going to stay away from here. Have I done it yet? No. Will I? Maybe on the day I have surgery. LOL

Yes, Roxanna, you are not alone, I, too, am an addict. My husband is tired of it and I have to sneak my fix on hulu when the debates are on. I'm starting to use political speak to all matter of subjects and I'm starting to dream politics.

And then, there is Edward, I've heard of him and am starting to take that next step over the ledge for another addiction!:rofl2

My name is Heather and I hate politics but can't stop coming here everyday (instead of scrapping - scrapped my 1st page today in over 5 days). I do not know why this election has caught my attention so much.

And don't laugh at me ... but what the heck is this "Edward" talk? I see these Team Edward buttons everywhere and have no idea what it is for.

Don't feel bad, I didn't know what they were talking about for a while either (LOL). It's the Twilight series books (vampires). They are supposed to be really good. I thought it would help divert my attention from politics.

They will lure you in and you won't be able to stop reading them. I am actually reading them for the second time. And loving Jacob even more the second time through.

Caffeine fixes all around and I'll just add some M&M's to my Chex Mix. Oh, and how about Raoul, the massuece, to work on those tense shoulders?

Northwest - directly south of Port Clinton in a tiny bump in the country called "Vickery". We have one post office, volunteer fire department and a bar (LOL).

I did get to make it to Cleveland a couple years ago and went to the Rock N' Roll Hall of Fame and Museum - big city! Loved the drive back next to the lake and those beautiful houses.

Note to fellow addicts, you can stalk these posts even when you are away from your computer with your Crackberry. Although, unlike the younger generation I am not very adept at typing on the itty bitty keyboard so I do not post from the Crackberry, I just hit refresh, refresh, refresh.

Well, I'm going to have to join in here and admit my two addictions. My first addiction is to MSNBC. I tape Chris, Keith, and now Rachel every day, and have (the first two) for 4 or 5 years. Then...all the Sunday morning news shows. I finally moved my computer into the kitchen area so I can listen to the TV and read my blogs and other news. My second is obviously politics I am not supposed to discuss politics at work (and I'm usually good about it), and my dh is working up in Alaska so we can't sit and talk all night like we do when he's here. I love love love reading all the responses here. I'm too tired to answer most of the time...but it is just so much fun.

My youngest is only 17, but he is in a government class, and is really enjoying the fact that I love politics, and we have a lot of good discussions. Most of his friends parents don't know much, and what they do know, they got from emails their friends sent them!!

I'm so happy to be in the company of other fellow addicts.

I'm addicted to all of the aforementioned haunts (minus NPR, I only listen to the radio in the car and ONLY music, it's my decompression zone).

I'm also addicted to anything that makes fun of politics (punditkitchen.com, SNL, Jon Stewart...).
