Buying new camera...need help!

I'm not going to be able to spend much...$200-$300 at most. I need something with a fast shutter speed (I have toddlers!) and want a good optical zoom. Any ideas?

I don't have any specific advice but you might want to check out http://www.dpreview.com/. They have a lot of good reviews and information and you can do a search for cameras with whatever features you're looking for. Might be a good place to start.

Most of the Panasonics have image stabilization which can come in handy if you are trying to snap pictures while chasing toddlers. It won't make the kids stand still though :)
