Just so that no one is confused (and to head off some of the questions from the start).....

We changed the New Products forum and the Digital Store & Designer Announcements forum so that they are sorted by the time of the original post. This way, all of the new products and the announcements will have a more fair chance at being seen. CT members can feel free to post in a thread and not worry that they look like they're trying to "bump" their designers to the top. And designers can reply to their own threads and not look like they're trying to "bump" their own threads to the top. This will also help you all as you browse those forums. Rather then looking through and wondering "Have I seen all of these?" but not being sure because they aren't in their original order, you'll now know which threads you've been too because they'll be sorted by their original date/time.

Hopefully that helps both shoppers and designers! :agree

Edit: We've also sorted Member Giveaways and Calls that way too.

Awesome! Thanks so much, Shannon! I also felt like a doofus posting in my own threads, so this is very helpful. :agree

Good idea Shannon - now I can post in my own threads too, without fearing that people think I'm bumping

Cool! Now the threads that are titled "Sale Today" or "Only 4 hours left" or the like won't bum me out when I realize that I've missed them. Oh wait, that means I'll probably spend more money. This is awful! :)

:lol :lol :lol

Yeah I did notice today that instead of skimming through the list, looking for designers I already know I love, I ended up clicking on every new link. I'm pretty sure that's gonna be bad for my paypal account in the long run!

LOL - I was sitting here trying to figure out what was up with those 2 forums & now I get it! Basically, the threads don't bump up - they just stay in order of posting. Very cool idea!

It works for me too - and doesn't change my paypal usage because I always click on 'new posts' when I read.

So I see them in the same order as before........ those that ARE new & those that have had comments added since I last visited. If I've posted & open that thread - then I click on 'view first unread' & I don't have to page thru things I've already seen.
