Hi, everybody...
I'm wondering if any of you can help me with burning DVDs. Is there something special you need to do to view a DVD of images on your TV through your DVD player?? Is there a certain way that they need to be burned?? Mine keeps giving me a disc error when I insert the DVD into my player to try to watch it. :think
Thanks for any help!

Yeah, it needs to be burned a different way. It depends on the software you are using. I use Nero and it has a "DVD-Video" option. So you'll have to look through the options in your program.

OK...thanks!!! I figured that there had to be something different that you needed to do but my program didn't come up with anything for me to change, lol. :)
Thanks bunches!

Can I back up to a more technical aspect.... (librarian techno talk time)
DVD's come in + & - format. The new burners burn both, but mine only burns dvd+ -- which brings me to the next issue - only certain brands play the dvd + dvd's.
So, I would suggest that you look at what type of dvd's your burning, then check & see if your dvd player is compatible. (This whole deal is like the vhs vs beta thing - people couldn't agree on a format). If you need help pondering it - let me know.
Then, the next step is as Karen suggested - some type of software will need to be included to play the images because your dvd player isn't like a computer with a media player.
