PSE7 questions

I just got PSE7 and am working with the Jessica Sprague classes. I have found 2 things so far that are driving me NUTS!!

Can anyone help with these 2 questions?

How can you get the font drop down bar to have a "slider" bar so you can scroll through the fonts? This starts at one font and to see the next "page" you have to choose the last one, then select the drop down arrow again. You can't scroll through the fonts (like you can do in Word and other software). Is there a setting I am missing?

Can you scroll in the project area without using the Navigator pane? In previous version of PSE (which is shown in the class), you can use the mouse to zoom in and out. Aside from using the magnifier glass to zoom in and select (under the View menu) zoom out, I can only zoom using the Navigator pane.

Don't know about the first question, and I just have PSE 6, but I may be able to help you with this one. Under "Edit" in the bottom of the menu, you should see "Preferences". After clicking on it and then "General", there should be an option to check which says something to the effect of "Zoom with Scroll Wheel." HTH!

my only tip for the font window is that you can use your page down, page up, home, and end keys to scroll - maybe someone else has found another way, but that was better than using the scroll bars on the edges of the font list for me!

I figured out how to zoom in and out with the mouse. Just hold the alt key while using your wheel.

My font window has a scroll bar on the right side so not sure why yours doesn't. That's weird. I just got my PSE7, maybe yours i missing something?

Does anyone know how to get the scroll bar on the fonts? The page up and down will at least help - I would love to have the scroll bar though.

The font thing is driving me nuts as well! I'd love to know how to fix that.

It took me at least a week to figure out how to set it to zoom with the scroll wheel, too!
