I usually don't share this type of information, but right now I am just so sad. We have been living in Singapore for 3 years and thought we would be here for another 2+ years...well, today we found out that my husband is being moved back to the US to work on projects in Africa and South America. So, we have to move back to the US in the next month or so. My son loves it here, this is where he has blossomed and it makes me so sad to think of gong back to the US where we don't have any support. I am thankful that my husband has a job but the move is very scary for us and I am overwhelmed by the idea of what has to be done to prepare for this move. If you have stuck around to this point, please keep us in your thought and prayers. I am praying for an easy transition, that we will find a place to live and that our son will find his place in his new school.
Thanks

I'm sorry. I understand your sorrow in having to leave, that's how I felt when we thought we had to go back to the states too. Hope it works out for you. Which state are you going to?

*hugs* I can so relate -- we've been here 2 1/2 years and only have 1 1/2 left and I'm so sad already. All three of my kiddos want to stay in the worst kind of way. I'd be devastated to find out I had to leave now!

I can only imagine how stressful it must be. My dd is high functioning autistic (Aspie) so we have to be so careful to keep her routine and her life "just so"

Good luck. I'll be thinking of you. I was sad when we left Singapore. My Dh was ready but I wasn't and I still wish we could have stayed longer. My older DD (now 15) did not take kindly to all the moves and it has affected her I think.
It's really hard when you are not emotionally ready for a move and it is sprung on you. I hope it works out well for you and your son.

Hopefully you're moving to a state/area where there are many DST'ers who can embrace you physically as well as emotionally. We will ALL be here for you!

We are moving back to Houston and while I am super worried about the transition, we are trying to focus on the positives. My son cried when we told him then a little bit later said, "it's ok, we can go and have Chili's now." I just don't know where we will live, we have to buy a ton of stuff since we got rid of our appliances when we moved here.
Thanks for all the hugs, thoughts and prayers...please keep thinking of us as we transition and I will update as I can.
