....we'll have a new feature for you here at DST. We have heard a few times that people would like to see a Layout of the Day. I got another PM yesterday from Syrin and she had suggested the same thing. I liked the idea but I just kept thinking "None of us can be unbiased." I feel like any of us would be inclined to choose our friends or possibly someone who uses the designs of our CT designer. I didn't just want popular scrappers chosen but I didn't want popular scrappers excluded either.
So who do I know that has an artistic eye, appreciates the value behind digital scrapping AND is unbiased.
:lol I hope you guys love this idea. I ran it by several people first and they loved it so I'm hoping that it's a universal opinion.

What do you guys think? He has NO clue who is popular so that won't be a factor. But he does have an artistic eye.
Instead of layout of the day, we're thinking of doing "Erick's Pick". That way, it won't seem like all the layouts posted within one 24-hour period are in competition with each other. (I mean, if a layout gets picked and I happened to post a layout on that same day, I might feel a little jaded and think "Hey, mine was better then that." :lol Not that he's allowed to pick mine. He's not. ;) ) So in order to avoid that competitive shadow, he's going to choose layouts that could've been posted that day. Or maybe he saw it a few days before and just saved it for later.
He will choose layouts for a variety of reasons - design, unique technique, creative ideas, great titles, sentimental journaling, excellent photography, etc. It won't always be based just on how eye-catching it is from the gallery.
So expect to see that starting Monday. We'll post it in the morning though not necessarily at the exact same hour every morning. Remember that we're on pacific time here and his work schedule is all over the place. But we'll pretty much be aiming for the mornings here. It'll be everyday. We don't want weekend scrappers to be excluded.
The threads will be in the Featured Scrapper (http://www.digishoptalk.com/boards/forumdisplay.php?f=12) section. I hope you guys will enjoy this feature!
