11-23-2006, 06:06 PM
So who is going to get up super early and hit the stores (not the digi ones)??
I am going to *try and get up for Target's sale, they have a super deal on a digitial picture frame and other stuff.
Anyone else going??

11-23-2006, 06:09 PM
Not me! I'll be all cuddled in my bed. :)

11-23-2006, 06:15 PM
No! I am *not* tough enough! I tried it once 4 years ago, and swore I would never ever do it again!

I think I'm sending my hubby out to pick up a 1Gig flash drive for me at Staples though. :lol

11-23-2006, 06:17 PM
Nope not me! I'll be right here in front of my puter just a scrappin' away! My mom and dd however are leaving here at 11:30 tonite to start out at Secret Sneaker and moving on to Target, Wal-Mart, K-Mart, Kohl's, and the list goes on LOL.

Not applicable to me - LOL but one year, I tried the Boxing Dale sales (I don't know if you have them), it was a nightmare!

I worked Black Friday sales for too many years. I refuse to shop them after all the crazies I dealt with back then.

11-23-2006, 06:31 PM
I'm after that digital frame myself! I have to get up at 3:30. Yes, I'm crazy. But, my lil' one will probably have me up then anyway. Off to bed with me!

11-23-2006, 06:32 PM
I was thinking of going to Staples to get a new camera. Well, I checked the web site and it was already marked down! Plus I had a coupon! So no braving the crowds for me!

11-23-2006, 06:33 PM
I guess I'm "tough" enough! I'm leaving at around midnight to go stand in line!!! Yeah, a little crazy, but I love the rush!

My fiancee and I are doing it this year- Best Buy at 4 a.m. HERE WE COME!! :) Night all and Happy Thanksgiving!

11-23-2006, 06:40 PM
I am going too. Don't have anything specific in mind, but I'm sure I'll find
SOMETHING to spend my $$ on!!!

11-23-2006, 06:43 PM

I've never seen a deal advertised yet that could get me out of the house on Black Friday!

11-23-2006, 06:52 PM
I'm always skip Black Friday. There may be some super great deals out there, but they aren't worth the hassle and or the craziness :) I'll do my shopping next week!

11-23-2006, 06:55 PM
Yes, my mom and I are leaving at 6:00 am. Im not crazy enough though to be at the disney store at like 4:00 am.

11-23-2006, 06:58 PM
I'll be at home, sipping some coffee and doing some online shopping. ;) I used to love BF sales but I've lost my "edge", I guess. Fighting the crowds while having my toddler in tow doesn't sound too enticing to me right now. :lol

11-23-2006, 09:11 PM
Ya know, I normally love a great sale... but this year I'm just not seeing anything on the shopping list that is on sale! So, I'm shopping online instead I guess!

I am heading out of here at 3:30 if not sooner lol..

11-24-2006, 04:18 AM
There isn't anything I want that bad to get me out of bed that early :)

11-24-2006, 04:47 AM
It's an hour drive, so no. I only saw things in all the flyers for myself, although I would fancy that digital frame for my Dad. I'm getting a massage later this morning. :p

11-24-2006, 08:52 AM
I did it!!! AND I got a frame! The one in the ad for $68.00
They went FAST! poor kid who stocked the shelves pretty much got trampled!
PS I am playing with it now...you didn't miss anything it isn't that great. I hate it when men are right.

My husband and I were up at 3:45am pacific time! We went to Office Max (sd cards), Mervyn's (digital photo frame, key chain digital camera), Joann's (xmas tree and garland), Michael's (outdoor ornaments). We were home by 6:45am!

11-24-2006, 09:28 AM
I went! I stood in line for 30 minutes at Staples to get my new baby--a 400 GB EHD. OMGosh, I'm in love. We also hit up JC Penny where I stocked up on my teacher tights....and also some really cool fishnets. ;)

11-24-2006, 09:32 AM
I left at 7:00 a.m. and I'm home already. The month of December is so busy with special projects that I have to shop while I can! And I'm out of town right now so this is one thing I can get accomplished while I'm gone!

11-24-2006, 04:34 PM
My best friend and I decided that we would hit the mall when it opened at 1:00am... what the hell was I thinking??? I did get some deals, but mostly it made me feel old and detest teenagers... the place was mobbed with them! And it's not like they were shopping, either; they were there to socialize and basically clog up all the stores and make it impossible for those of us there to shop to get where we were trying to go. I watched one fool climb up a lightpole to break the lights, and watched the police break up a fight between two other winners... next year I'll be staying home, thank you!
Sorry the frame wasn't as good as anticipated, Dani... that's a bummer!

This was my first time to miss the early bird sales in several years. I did take my ds to Game Stop at 9:30 this morning. That was 'early bird' to him, lol! I got most of his shopping out of the way. Then we went to Radio Shack & I bought a usb 1gb flash drive for $19.99. The salesclerk showed them to me as I walked in & I thought I could use that.

I picked my girlfriend up at 4:15 a.m! We hit Circuit City - scored the items I wanted - then went to Micheals, Borders and Kohls.

This has been the best Black Friday I've had, between the deals and the friendly salespeople I had today!!

Now it's time to digishop....

11-24-2006, 05:18 PM
Not me, uggh!! I wait until the very last minute to do my shopping, hehe. And since I'm traveling for Christmas this year, I'll be waiting until I get to my destination, which means I'm Christmas Eve shopping again for me. What's cool is my Dad lives about three blocks from the biggest mall in Colorado, so that's all good! If I want to do any good shopping where I'm at, I have to drive into San Francisco, which is a 2 hour drive during traffic (45 minutes with no traffic). Double uggh!!

11-24-2006, 05:41 PM
I NEVER go to the stores on these big sales days, but after hearing all the buzz about the EHD's I decided to try - about 2:20 p.m!

I picked up a 250g EHD at Compusa for about $47. It was their own make so I won't use it for archiving photos or important stuff.

I actually sat outise of Best Buy from 12:30 til they opened to try to get a 42 inch plasma tv they had on special. I was about the 200th person in line but I got my TV. Whew. That was nuts.

Also got a $15.00 Compact Flash card, $15 sony memory stick, 100 DVD-Rs for $5.00 and some other little deals.
