Question about cost to be a member.......

Shannon, I am pretty sure I understand why this would be a pay site. However, someone I referred over here had questions. Could you please explain why there is a fee to be a member? Marci

It's free to be a member.

Once we get the entire sight up and running, we want to have a featured designer spot every month which will have an exclusive kit for paid members. The paid member fee will be $20 for a year and that will give you ALL twelve kits for the year.

Some of it will! Definitely! Because we have costs for all of that AND we're paying a designer to design the whole thing AND we are going to be using a very specific system that was created so that people like me can easily update their own sites without any hassle. So all of that costs money. :D

Makes sense to me. I just wanted to ask because two of the people I referred over here were unhappy about that part of it. They thought it should be "free", but that didn't seem possible to me. I love being right! Marci

No, I understand that! The messageboard part IS free and no one is required to sign up for the paid subscriber status.

It's not official yet. It's something that will be implemented later. Basically, it won't change your status on the board in anyway except you'll get a little icon under your name. I'll do a sticky about the subject soon. :D

I didn't even see any place where you could pay to be a member?? I clicked "register" and it was free. I can't wait to be a paid subscriber, though!!!!! Hope that comes soon:):)
