It's only 29 degrees here in NY. Cold, but it has been unseasonally warm this year. I hope it snows for Christmas!

At least you all have a tree to decorate.:cry We're still waiting for ours to get here, and hopefully in one piece. LOL Hopefully this week. Living in SoCal for so many years, you get used to putting the tree up in shorts.

Well, no shorts here, but it is still warmer than usual! In the 60's today, so I got to finish winterizing my little garden!

It's only 29 degrees here in NY.

Where in NY are you Jeanelle? Upstate? On the Island, it was actually pretty warm today. The kids and I were decorating outside (or really, watching Vin break his back up on the roof :lol) and we were in long sleeve t's, no coats!

ROFL :rofl Nevermind! I see your little user location actually does say "upstate". :lol

We had the air on yesterday and the windows open today. I can count on one hand the amount of times I've had to wear a jacket this season. It was actually sleeting here on Tuesday.

ETA: I'm in Virginia

:lol Yeah after years of starting out doing the decorating in jeans and a long-sleeve, I finally learned my lesson. It gets too hot during the whole process. Especially when hanging window decorations. Freaking greenhouse effect. :lol2

Tonight we're watching Christmas movies, catching up on some DST stuff and hopefully scrapping.

Well, we got the tree up! We ran out of branches before the tree was put together, oops, LOL! So it is a little off-kilter and I swear we have some branches in the wrong spot! LOL! We had to borrow the tree from my sister-- ours broke last year and we weren't planning to be in the US for Christmas this year so we don't have one now.

They had fun though! :) I can't wait to scrap these pics!

I'm printing up an album for Christmas gifts. Not getting a tree this early. Two toddlers will have fun pulling it down before long!

That looks great Kim... but I agree that it's unusually warm this year and TOTALLY doesn't feel like it should be time for Christmas!

Tonight I babysat my grandson and watched Harry Potter.
I want to do my tree, after years of a real one, last year we bought an artificial. It's in the attic and dh won't go up until next weekend. When the temp drops into the 30's. And all the little buggies will be dead.
LOL

Well, whle I'm down under, no-one is going to see me in shorts - they couldn't handle the shock - LOL.

I'm putting mine up about a week before Christmas, which is early for me - LOL - I usually like putting the tree up about two or three days before.

We/I drove back from spending Tgiving with the family (even had to turn back at one point after my mom called to let me know I grabbed HER laptop instead of MINE....my mom, sis, and I all have the exact same computer so things often get interesting and none of us can live a day without it). Then I tried unpacking my Christmas stuff...I don't know what the heck I'm doing. So it's just strewn alllll over. Right now we're watching ELF and digging into some pizza.

At some point I should probably do laundry and get my Christmas dishes out (I'm sooo excited for that! I've had them since I was 17 and have never used them before)!

We went to the tree farm and chopped down a real tree of our very own! It smells AWESOME in this house!!!!!

And it was 56 or so here today. In Iowa. In November. That means snow by Wednesday night...

BUT...

Hey, it is -22F here (-30C).... don't rub it in!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm so sorry, Kari! YIKES!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm pretty sure our tree won't see the light of day this year since we'll be out of town yet again. Of course, I might have to bribe DH into putting up the tree just so I can get some good pictures. :lol

Hubby thought that it would be nice to get a real tree this year after 12 years of artificial. We've got it up, just waiting for the branches to relax. Of course, I totally had to change the theme of it to outdoorsy stuff- birds, berries, pine cones, etc... Can't wait to have it all decked out!

It was over 90F here yesterday and pretty sticky with it:) so we are in the pool not just in shorts. I really haven't had the energy to do the tree etc. just yet. Help summer hasn't even officially started:eek

I REFUSE to put on shorts. So we are just sweating. We actually put our tree up last week and are working on the outdoor lights.

We have one more birthday party to get through here before the tree goes up, so it will probably be next Sunday! And the way this weather is going, I will more than likely be wearing my tankini top and shorts (at least the cellulite is high up) and topped with a charming set of reindeer antlers on my head. :lol

btw Kimberly, I just love your Christmas ornaments. They are just divine.

We decorate ours in shorts every year - over 100 degrees is normal for us at Christmas time.

Yeah--just when I thought maybe I could actually wear a sweater NOPE! We just had a little cold snap and then back to the warm weather. LOL--we had the windows open, shorts on and it was 80 degrees when we put up the tree :) :)

I think I really miss having winter--I never in a million years thought I would feel this way, but there is something about cold weather during the holiday season. But then again, the grass is always greener, right? LOL :) :)
