I have a plan to make board books using those great Shabby Princess mini-albums, but I don't know where to get them. At www.barebooks.com, they have a minimum order of $20, which means buying 20 5x5 books. So I'd love to hear where YOU bought them, how you made them, etc.

Thanks,
Kellie

If you don't mind doing a little work with sanding and stuff then I suggest The DOLLAR store! They always have them! I remember someone referred me there when I was lookin last year. They had a bunch of different sizes... all i did was sand them down a bit to rough them up, then used mod podge to adhere my paper, sanded the edges again, then inked :)

Don't know if thats what ya meant though lol!

Our local scrapbook shop carries chipboard books for altering. I think they were $10, but I don't recall how many pages there are.

Oriental Trading Company! They come in a set of three for real cheap. I think they come in different shapes and sizes. I bought the 8x8 and there are 12 pages including the covers.

www.barebooks.com

That's where I've gotten mine if I needed the specific size. Otherwise, I've raided my son's basket LOl But these are pristine, never chewed on, and no fraying :lol :lol

They have a whole lot of them at DSP:

(and they are on sale at the moment too)
They also sell ready made album templates for some of the shaped books:

I get mine at garage sales, library sales, and used book stores... buy them in all different shapes and sizes and trim the paper to fit (and sand and sometimes apply gesso depending on what I am doing with them...). Michael's also usually has a bunch (sold to read to kids not for crafts!) on a front $1.00 table).

I like the ones made by C&T publishing - blank board books in all different sizes, 6x6, 8x8, 7x5, tag books, accordian, heart shape, etc ... LUV em!

I got mine from Create For Less (http://www.createforless.com/homePage.asp) ... they're under Scrapbooking Section, then Photo Albums & Scrapbooks.

I have heard about going to the $ store & buying printed board books, and like Corina mentioned, just a little sanding around the edges, mod pode your digi paper/layouts & viola!! your done! :p

I'm a fan of C&T Publishing, also. Their books are very nice quality and so easy to work with. A great selection of sizes, too.
