Help! I have taken some great shots in RAW - and for some reason - I cannot open them in CS2. I used to be able to - but right now I can't. Photoshop tells me that the file type is not compatible.
Can anyone help - please:):)

I have had this happen and the only thing that worked was to close out photoshop, re-open photoshop, and then try to open them up again.

Oh Kim - I tried that - and still no luck. Maybe I need to shut down the entire system.

I think you have to open them thru an add-on that comes with CS2. This computer doesn't have CS2 installed so I can't check, but I know I've opened RAW photos in it somehow! Check the help section, but I really think it's a different way rather than the usual File-Open.

Kylie, what size are the files. I can open them, run the conversion, edit for exposure and color temp and sharpen then send it to you in JPG. Just lemme know! How many images are there? ... my email is k8t@cebridge.net

what happens when you double-click on the CR2 file in Windows Explorer? Ok...i don't know whether you are a PC or MAC girl or if you're a Canon or a Nikon girl.
You can also try to use Adobe Lightroom (http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/lightroom/). It's a stand-alone application so maybe you'll know better whether it's PS or your RAW images that are having problems.

Yup, I was thinking the same as Deanna... try updating your Camera Raw version from Adobe: http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop/cameraraw.html

Thanks girls! I updates the Camera Raw version (I have PCSC2 - so it was already there!), and voila - all is good!
