Blinkie help

I know that you all here are amazingly talented and way beyond my talents, so I know you'll be able to help me! lol I'm trying to create (my first!) a blinkie in PSE3. I followed a tutorial at DSP, got it all created, made sure it was set at 150x50 pixels at the end and got it all saved..etc. however, once I get it uploaded to photobucket and try attaching it to my sig, its HUGE! It is the same size as the ones I currently have in my sig, why doesn't it look like it? I mean, in my files, the information says its the same size...in reality its twice the size! any suggestions? I even tried sizing it smaller and reloading to photobucket, but that didn't change a thing.

since I really am a dumb blonde sometimes, I know it is probably some simple step I'm overlooking...at least I hope so! lol

Did you remember to change the DPI to 72? That's the only thing I can think of off hand!!

yep, I changed the dpi to 72. even tried to change it to 50. lol I'll try again now that its morning and see what happens! lol

You talking about the adorable Bonnie Jean art? When I right click on it and look at properties, it shows dimensions of 457x106....so you must not have gotten the resize just right. Open your doc in pse...select Image/Resize/Image Size...and make sure to adjust the resolution to 72 FIRST and then go to the pixel dimentions and change that to 150x50 pixels. Click OK.

(I also noticed that your graphic is a little long, so unless you crop it or otherwise alter it, it won't fit perfectly into the 150x50 dimensions.)

no its not the BonnyJean I was needing help with, it was a new blinkie..I'm adding it here to see if it just needed to rest overnight! lol

ETA, now its tiny! lol I wonder if something on my computer was making it revert to the original, which I forgot to resize, even after I resized it? hmm oh well.. thanks for the support while it figured itself out! lol

Np....just for the future....sometimes if you put something in a siggie or thread and it doesn't look quite right sometimes just refreshing your page helps. Glad you got it figured out though and your blinkies look great!!

I did try refreshing, thinking that was the problem. although, it was late at night so I could have been hitting the wrong button! lol like I said, I'm blonde! ;) I'm not sure what happened, probably I was just too frustrated and tired and not being patient!
