Okay ... that was fairly dramatic. Overly so for these simple questions, but IT'S DRIVING ME CRAZY!

Okay... let's say I'm trying to rotate a picture or a paper. When I do, it "leaves behind" a background color that is then also transfered to my workspace when I drag it. It doesn't happen with embellies and stuff.

How do I rotate stuff and not have that strange background left behind? I use PS7.

Hit Ctrl T (for free transform). That should bring a little box with anchor points around the corners. Put your mouse on the corner until you get a bent arrow then turn! Voila!

At least I think that's the way to do it!

I'm not sure. But after you all help Chele here, let me know if you like having the help questions here in chatter or if you'd prefer them in their own separate forum. I know that most people prefer "the fewer forums the better" but I also hate to see someone's request for help get buried. Whatever you guys want, I can do!

Thanks, Shannon. :-D

BTW -- where are you in The OC? I grew up in Corona del Mar & I'm in Temecula, now.

Love both those cities! I grew up in San Gabriel Valley and then moved to Irvine when I was 16 (whole different life here in OC!) I live in Fullerton now.

It's because your file is a JPG, not a PNG. It's not resting on a transparent background. If you choose to promote your image to a layer, then you should be able to rotate it with no problem.

I think.

HTH!

Thanks so much!
