I have to say this...

I LOOOOOOOVE digital!! LOL! Okay, so let me tell you why, if you'll indulge me

My DS (two years old) and I did some fingerpainting the other day and this was the first time he had fingerpainted. I decided to frame some of the artwork but realized I should scan it first and then cut it to frame. So I scanned and did some minor adjusting in photoshop (also put a signature in a fun handwriting font on it). Now I am going to get it printed up a bunch of times and send to all the grandparents and aunts/uncles in mini versions! I think I might even get this printed out on a canvas for myself Anyhow, you can see the print HERE (http://www.smugmug.com/photos/76690195-M.jpg) (ignore the ugly border--LOL, that will get cut off) if you like.

This is amazing! Anytime any of my kids fingerpaint, all we get is a big blob of black, LOL! He's talented & what a great thing to preserve. (You got me thinking now that it's time to clean out the year's worth of school stuff. Maybe I'll fire up the scanner to save some of it!) And, you can scrap a page of the stuff, too! How cool would that be?!

Okay I just want to add that I helped him do this one-LOL! I think he did some on his own--I can't remember, but I helped a bunch. He got more on himself than he did on the papers (but don't worry, I took pictures!!). Thanks for all your sweet replies:):)

I'm hoping you've already thought of this, but if not, you need to use this pic on your layout with the pics of him painting...as photo mattes as well as a 'main' picture!

Then get copies of that layout & send off to the family!
