I bought AC crumble action, but I think it crumples _too_ much.

Does anyone know of a way to lighten up the crumple?
I tried different blending modes, but maybe I just overlooked the obvious thing to do?

I found that with crumple as well. What I do is leave it on normal blend mode but lower the opacity and that works pretty well for me. You can see a LO I used it on here (http://www.laurenbarden.com/scrap/2006/05/layout_beauty_n.html) - it's the dark brown paper. HTH :)

Lindse's method works well for ink and chalk effects, too. Just layer it on top of the original and turn down the opacity. (Conversely, you can increase the effect by running it again with those types of effects.)

Great thank you!
Why hadnŽt I thought of that? :)

Works like a charm! IŽll try it on the ink action too - love the actions, makes everything so much easier :)

yep...that's exactly what I do. I hold down the SHIFT key when dragging the crumpled paper over so it lands exactly over the original and then lower the fill of the crumpled layer. I also link them since I tend to move things around sometimes.

Thanks for the tips. I never thought about lowering the opacity.

I'm really glad this got bumped, because it's one of the things I'm excited about with the club format: I can put up subtly different versions of things now without confusing anyone (a mellow crumple is on the list).
