My laptop came with some trial software. Now it's time to buy it. I'm buying the purchase key so it will reactivate my software.

Dell offers a 2 year download insurance for $4.99 (never worry about losing your CD(s) again we will retain a backup copy of your digital file for a period of up to 2 years. Simply contact us and we will send you your file to re-download your software anyplace, anywhere )

For $14.95 I can buy the software backup kit which is the software CD & manual.


I'm thinking I don't really need both, right? I need some reasurrance before I click the Checkout button. :)

it sounds like you don't need both................if you can be really good and just burn your own copy and then hold on to it, you don't need either. HTH! :)

I agree with Emmy. Why pay $14.95 for something you can do yourself with a CD. After all, you can buy a couple of kits to scrap with for that price and possibly have a bit of change left over.

i burn my own cds when i purchase a dl...but is the manuel worth the 14.95?
