I've tried to work with a few Grosgrain ribbon tutorials... I can get to the ribbon creation, but not making the ribbon look more realistic. Any advice, tutorials or plug ins that people could recommend?
( The last one I'ved used recommends Greg's Factory Output Volume II plug ins, but I can't get them to install properly on PSP X ! )
Just a shot in the dark. I have lovely papers that I want to create ribbons from for some layouts. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. :)
Thanks!

What exactly is happening when you try to install the Gregs plugins in PSPX? I have them and they work and installed just fine. Do you have your preferences> File Locations set to the folder where they are?
Most times things like this happen and it could be a bad download file, maybe they are placed in the wrong folder, having the wrong setting checked in the File locations...?

I don't know how much this will help, as I don't use PSP, but I always add a beveled edge and slight shadow to the left and right sides of the ribbon. I also always had some separate texture both to this edging and to the ribbon itself. On the ribbon I add the texture, usually some noisey texture underneath the crossgrain. That adds a lot of realism.

My advice? Get the digiscrapdesigner membership. It is SO worth it and she has the most amazing ribbon tut. Just the best!

I have to figure out if I have the preferences set up properly... oh dear! When I try and open the setting, it says "file not installed properly or missing". grr! I've tried a few times now. I can do ribbon up until this point that I like alot, but it doesn't have the realistic pooling effect... and trying to do this by hand hasn't produced satisfactory results. Thanks everyone for your suggestions. :)
