I am getting an error message telling me that there is an error burning to my disc. That my files aren't present?

What does this mean and how can I fix it so I can burn without losing my tags.

To get mine to work, I had to lose the tags on the disc. I didn't really want them there, anyway... it was more for backup.

However, after doing that, I did one DVD, successfully but on the next I got the same error. I tried rebuilding the database and that didn't work. So hopefully this thread will have some hints for both of us! :)

Sometimes information in the ACDSee database out of date. Before trying to burn, run the optimize database. This will get rid out of date data.

To Optimize:
If you are running External Hard Drives: Connect and start your EHD.
Choose Database | Optimize Database...
Click Next
Select Both Boxes and click Next
Click Next and let it run.
When done, click on Finish.Word of caution before optimizing: If you think you might have moved something outside of ACDSee after assigning categories, you should go verify that you don't have orphans files (files that no longer exist) To check for this, follow the first 5 steps in this help: Did you move folders outside of ACDSee? How to fix it? (http://www.digiscrapinfo.com/phpmyfaq/index.php?action=artikel&cat=12&id=24&artlang=en) If you do find orphans, follow the rest of the steps to correct the issue. If you are positive that you haven't moved files you don't need to do this. Once you optimize you can't reconnect those orphan files.

I do not have an external hard drive. This is just my stuff under My Documents. Should I still optimize?

Well crud.

I reconnected the ghost thingies first then I optimized the database and it still will not let me burn a disc. UGH! Any other suggestions before I open up Explorer? LOL!

If you don't have an external hard drive you can skip step 1.

And if you're sure you haven't moved any files outside of ACDSee that were cataloged - yes, try optimizing. It's recommended to be done once a week - especially if you are changing the sizes of the thumbnails (which I do fairly often depending on what I'm looking at).

I've referred it to my sister - this is her area of expertise

Try change this option:
Try un-checking: "Format Options"
In your burn basket, click on the one circled in blue and uncheck that box. Then try burn again.
