View Full Version : how do I recolor something that's shades of grey?

I'm using Photoshop 7. The hue/saturation slider won't help me a bit. In this case, it's a letter that looks like a stamp. I can cover it with PP or solid color, but lose the shading.

In your layers palette right click on the layer thumbnail
*click blending options
*choose color overlay
*change the color by clicking on the red box
* change the blend mode to either "overlay" or "color" (actually play around with any of those options to see what looks best to you)
You'll need to adjust the color your are using to get it just right, as it will change a bit after you change the blending option. :)
