Im sorry for all the questions but I just dont get anything. I have been reading and reading. I am trying to save a single letter out of a downloaded alphabet. I grab it with the "free hand selection laso" for the letter I want. But each time I try (by clicking on file, export, PNG optimizer) it just saves the entire alpha set again. What am I doing wrong? Can any one help me again please? Im sorry for all the questions but I just dont get it.
Thanks in advance

You'll need to have the letter as a separate image.

After you've done the lasso tool, then go to Edit>Copy. Then go back to Edit>Paste>as new image. Then you can use the PNG Optimizer to save the individual letter to a new file.

Do I open a new window? Or just do as you said? I cant use them in Memory Mixer software unless I single them out and save them individually. Thanks.

I'm not totally sure what program you are using, but Paint Shop Pro is the only one I know that has the PNG optimizer as you mentioned.

So if it is PSP, the Edit>Paste>As a new image will make the new window for you and it will contain only the alpha that you surrounded with the lasso tool.

Oh ok, sounds easy enough. I will give it a try. Keeping my fingers crossed. Yes, I have PSP but mine is the studio version.........is that 9? Or a version of 9?

I'm not sure what version that might be - I haven't used PSP for a number of years - so I am just going from memory on this. The last version I owned was version 8, but haven't really used it since version 6 or 7.

Here is the version I have:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000AN1D9E/sr=8-2/qid=1154259929/ref=pd_bbs_2/103-0402433-3615057?ie=UTF8
I got it really cheap on Amazon with a rebate at the time. My oldest loves playing with it just for the tubes. We did pics of the cats drunk with BIG bulgy(??) eyes, little bottles and bubbles LOL
I do have Adobe but never use it because all those windows in it are to confusing to me. I personally think they need to include a step-by-step book in the box for dummies like me

Hi, Paint Shop Studio is a cut down version with less abilities then the normal Paint Shop Pro 8,9 & X (PSP) are.
