1. Aside from scrapbooking, what creative outlets do you have?

My other creative outlet is pretty difficult to explain, but I'll try. I go to a very large church. Our church is really into using the technical arts (video, music, drama, dance, etc) to communicate the message. Once per month, I volunteer to help the tech crew with the computer graphics for the weekend services (an example is putting the words to the praise songs up on a screen). I help with the creation of Power Point presentations, too.

I'm also the volunteer technical director for the Women's ministry Thursday morning meeting. I help pick the speakers for the week and help them with any technical needs they may have for their message. I coordinate the lights, sound and computer graphics for the event. I've been helping with tech for almost 10 years now! I love to be behind the scenes.

2. What is your favorite thing to wear?

When I'm going out, I have a red satin shirt that I love to wear with black jeans and a jean jacket. :lol But during the day, my preference is jeans and a t-shirt. I'm a SAHM (I have three kids ages 7, 4, and almost 2) so I keep it casual.

3. What is your favorite color?

I always find this question difficult to answer. I love a lot of colors. Right now I'm really drawn to red!

4. Share your "designer story". How did you get started?

I have a friend that really wanted me to get into paper scrapping. I had tried it and really didn't like it that much. But she didn't give up and sent me links to some digital scrapbooking freebies, knowing that digi would probably be more my style since I dabbled in desktop publishing in my previous job. I downloaded a kit and created a page. At first I said I would never be a designer but I found myself very interested in learning more about Photoshop so I started to create some things myself. That was this past July. I joined a couple element teams and soon was able to become a designer at those websites. I'm very thankful to Lori and Joedee because they have been very encouraging! Oh, and my paper scrapper friend is now digi too. :lol She's on my CT.

5. Who is YOUR favorite designer right now?

I'm on CTs for Jennilyn at The Digi Shoppe and Darcy Baldwin at the Blue Flombingo. I love their goodies! My other favorite designers would have to be Holly McCaig and Dani Mogstad. I just think their designs are wonderful. Pages just fall together with their stuff.
