i know its nothing really but it does make you kind of sad when you post new layouts, and two days later they still have 0 views, or 1 view but you know it was you showing your husband. lol. I know its nothing with me personally, lol, and its probably just with NSD startin up and things but its hard not to take that personally. lol. okay, whine over. thanks for listening :)

I have a lot of those in my gallery...... But I try telling myself that it is because I posted it when a lot were sleeping... (I live in Norway)

Hehe I totally use that excuse in my head as well, Anne. I find it the worst when you post one that you are convinced is going to be a really big hit and get heaps and heaps of comments only to be proved very very wrong!

i think the gallery here moves so fast that most people dont have a chance to look through it all, so don't take it personally! the praise game is really good for getting others to look at your layout and for you to leave praise for others

almost all layouts of mi9ne are like that, 1 or 2 comments, I try to comment in the gallery myself but fun takes off.

On the other hand I'm scrapping for me not for others

I know exactly what you mean...you know in your head all of the above to be true, but sometimes you think, just this once...

and you can't help but to feel badly about it!

Yep exactly. I try not to let it bother me and most of the time I succeed LOL, because I know how much my family likes the pages.

I try not to let it bother me unless it's in the praise game and not getting much notice! :) And yes, I blame it on the time zones too! For the most part though, if I'm happy with the layout that's all that matters. The family always likes them!

Hey ladies,
I used to feel that way too... but then I started playing the Praise Game... and then it was fun to go back to see what people said.

AND! and I enjoyed seeing other people's work & commenting on their's.

Try the Praise Game! (http://www.digishoptalk.com/boards/showthread.php?t=51820) You'll love it

Don't feel bad :hug That happens to me if I don't play the praise game. It seems we're all stuck in the habit of praising just the praise game folks. We should really bring back 5-for-5!

I have a lot of those in all of my galleries. I scrap for me though, and not comments, so I don't let it bother me too much. :)

ITA about the praise game, it's a lot of fun and my LOs get noticed more. But like others, I scrap for myself, but it still hurts sometimes (((hugs)))

Ditto - that's how I feel too!

I try to leave at least 5 praises a day but I just don't have time to play the praise game. I wish I could see which layouts have no or few views or praises so I could specifically hit those.

I have those, too. But I just started playing the praise game yesterday. That was fun, and I got to see several layouts I wouldn't have seen otherwise - there's just too many of them!

I feel the same way, but sometimes the gallery moves so fast, that it is easy to miss a layout or two.

Me too!

And no nomination for me in the Scrapper Awards. ;)
And if I don't play the Praise Game, I only got at least 6 comments.

You know, today I have been unable to really get to the gallery much. Server busy. :( I do know the feeling though.

Don't feel bad :hug That happens to me if I don't play the praise game.

The last time I played the praise game, I praised 20 layouts (my messages show up to 40 a page) and I got 5 comments. Yep, 5.

Today I posted a new layout and I don't expect it to get much notice. That's just the way it is.

The average comment-to-layout ration is 4.5 comments per layout so that sounds about right. I know it's discouraging when you see other scrappers get 20-30 comments but that's not an indication of how people feel about your layouts. There are dozens of factors that come into play to account for their high comment count.

Yes, my gallery reflects that, too. I have layouts 2 months old with less than 5 views and many with no comments. I don't let it bother me tho... but comments do make me smile.

I don't post my layouts here unless it's a requirment for a CT.

lol, i even tried to play the praise game and the person below me didnt even comment, on my first time too, lol, and i still only ended up with like 5 comments from the praise game. lol. maybe my layouts just arent very good. lol.

I try to do the Praise Game every time I upload a new layout, then I leave praise for everyone else on the page my post is on. Then if I have time to just browse the gallery I leave love for the layouts I really like.
I have a lot of layouts that I thought were good that didn't get many comments....the ones that get the most comments are the ones I put on the "praise game".
I always remind myself I am doing this for my famiy, not for the accolades....but it is nice to be noticed too. ;)

I could written this myself. Sometimes it's hard to remember that it's not really the number of comments that counts. It's the comments from your FAMILY that count :)

my experience with the praise game is that if you can get on the first 3 pages, you'll get like 20+ comments. otherwise, the count goes down with each page back you are...

the couple of times i got on page 2 or 3 of the praise game, i got like 20-30 comments. but most of the time i was on my way to take the kids to school/go to work when the praise game was posted, so i rarely get in early! :)

some of what i consider my best layouts have very very few comments...such is life.

I almost always post in the praise game. Alot of time I will upload the layot at night before I turn off my computer then I come back in the morning for the praise game. I try and praise all of the layouts above mine on the page (i see 30 post on a page). I find that if I am the last one on the page (so a post #8 or 9) I don't get as much praise as if I am on the top of a page.
I also have not found that much of difference in my comment # if I post at when the praise game first comes up or at 2ish EST.
The worst time to post in towards the end of praise game A. I guess people wait for B to start.
