Question for the designers out there......

Do you keep an idea notebook where you write down everything that comes to mind? If so do you white down your color schemes and sketch out elements and such in it? I have been just winging it but I am finding it is MUCH easier using an idea book. What do you guys do?

I have a BIG pile on my desk of computer paper. If I get inspired I crab a sharpie and sketch it out. (sometimes I do this at 3am when I can sleep LOL). I should get a book, except sometimes I like to scan my drawings and use them too so the binder might get in the way of the scanner. But just getting a sketchbook to have around and be able to jot down ideas and such is a great tool!!!!

I have 2 pocketbook size notebooks, one for my workbag and one for my purse, that I am gonna start keeping with me....just in case inspiration hits. I am so bad to think of something and think...I'll remember that for later...and then I totally forget .

I too have a hugh pile of ideas on my desk and I also have a folder on the computer that I keep ideas like color palettes and such! I keep saying I will put into a notebook, but I afraid that I would never open that notebook!

I keep a small notebook that I put ideas from magazines in. I also keep a small sketch book where I jot things down or sketch ideas as they come to me. But sometimes I don't even use them, I just sit down to the computer and make a kit!

I write my ideas down on small sheets of notebook paper. I carry them around in my purse and just keep adding to it. I don't do color schemes, just what my kit idea is, what types of elements or papers I think I'd want to include.
