Something happened with one of my photos in the gallery.......

is not my First Dance layout, in fact it's not my layout at all :confused: I'm not sure what happened, I never changed it :( and I don't know who's page that is either!

Those were my credits there Shannon and my original file was named first_dance.jpg apparently this one was first_dance1.jpg so I'm clueless on how it might have happened. I did go and reupload my photo under the edit photo options and mine is showing again now but thought you might wanna know that it happened ;) I love my page so I wanna make sure it showed :p

OMG! I just went and looked for the second time at Karen's link and now my photo has overtaken theirs, how freaking weird!! Should I just reupload and change the file name to something really different like this is my first dance.jpg ROFL! Help!

Re-uploading under a different file name didn't help, my photo is now still in their gallery :confused:

It happened to me over on SBB this week. Someone else's layout with the exact file name of mine (something I'd posted ages go) was put up in my gallery - overwriting my photo, but not my credits. I just replaced the photo in the edit section.

Ok that is the craziest thing. I'll post at photopost to see how we can prevent that from happening again.

Shannon, there is an option to add _shannon or _mamakimberly to the end of the photopost uploads, my fave stamp site does this: http://splitcoaststampers.com It renames every file from kimberlyskid.jpg to kimberlyskid_by_ mamakimberly.jpg

I don't know how they did it but Daven (the site owner) is super nice and would probably tell you :)

I title mine in a unique system that eliminates the duplicates though..... 082406kimmyg1 etc.... unless someone else uses my system I am ok LOL!

Ooooh. You know, now that you mention it, I do remember noticing that most sites rename my uploads! Smart thinking! Thanks Kimberly! I'll try to find out how to do that!

I hate to delete mine and start over because I have such nice comments on it :( but I think I might have to do that if I want it to work right!!

i'm pretty sure the error is.. your LO have the same name file as that LO or same title.. it happened to me at 3scrap, sbb n TDC also..

I even tried changing my file name to April_Matt_first_dance and then re-uploading and it didn't work :(

Well it stayed there in my gallery and hers until she re-uploaded her photo and then it was in both spots again, it's like a game of tag, LOL. I re-upload and it stays a few days and then she re-uploads and hers is there a day or two :confused:

Sorry it takes so long to work this out. Erick does my tech stuff but he has a full-time job with odd hours. Then he has to post on photopost and we wait a day or two for a response from there. And we always have multiple tech issues going on so it's busy! We'll keep working on it!

I wondering if they just got eternally linked the 1st time it got posted w/the same name. Even w/subsequent changes (ie changing the pix) the original location in cyberspace has been created, right?

That seems logical. I wonder if there is a way to unlink them without having to delete their layouts and lose their comments. :confused:

it happened to me also at 3scraps I edited my LO and change the LO but it's not working.. so now it happened to me at SBB not only 1 LO.. lots :(

i think it could be happend when you are moving server.. have DST moved to other server ??
