There's lots of great stuff in the hybrid gallery here! I have SO many projects bookmarked in my favorites to try soon! I have a few projects in there - images are clickable & I usually include more photos & info down in the credits area. And I also have detailed posts about both of these projects on my blog (http://shawnataylor.wordpress.com/).

And here's a couple of the 5x5 board books I've done using Shabby Princess piece-a-cake albums and board books from Bare Books. I used the tutorial on SP's site to do these. I've done a bunch of these for gifts & they are really easy to do!
http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b107/staylor90/IMG_3467.jpg http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b107/staylor90/IMG_3472.jpg
I'm working on an altered Advent clipboard right now and a few other projects using some of Miriam's stuff but don't have them done yet! Hopefully soon though!
I've also done an 8.5x11 Shutterfly book but I haven't taken any photos of it but it turned out really nice (it was free from the Cozi promo awhile back)! I just resized 20 of my layouts down to 8x8 and printed them in the middle of the page.

I did this project as a LO then resized it to fit the 4" chipboard coasters. I printed on sticker paper and then mod podged over top to seal the LO and seal the edges. Used 2 small hinges that I picked up from a local hardware store.

I've also used my LOs (well, these actually belonged to a friend) to create ceramic tile coasters and 8x8 decorative tiles that stand up using a plate holder:
http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a224/wildblueeyez15068/ceramictiles.jpg
You can also print your LOs on tissue paper and mod podge to an artist's canvas like this:
http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a224/wildblueeyez15068/brandicecanvas.jpg
http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a224/wildblueeyez15068/trevorcanvas.jpg
Instructions for the canvas are posted over here: http://www.designsindigital.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3307
I'm more of a crafter at heart. I'd love to give a board book a try some day.
Good luck!

Mod Podge is a glue but you also use it over your finished project to seal everything :D

I have a few hybrid projects in my gallery.
If you use mod podge, be sure to test it first. Mine always smears, it probably depends on your printer. I use a spray fixative and then a spray sealer. hth

I use mod podge to put the pages down and I do NOT seal them on top. It is printed as matte and I've had it for 6 mos and it doesn't get prints, peel away or anything.

Here (http://www.digishoptalk.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=211198&limit=recent) is a tiny book I made last weekend. This little Maya Road book is only 2.8" square. And yes, it's cleavage.

well, I ordered in bulk and did a share with them, but I won't be doing it again til Jan. probably. You can get them from restaurants. I am not sure if craft stores will have them or not, I've not seen them at mine.
I just designed this hybrid project (http://www.sweetshoppedesigns.com/shoppe/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=1782)for the Basic Grey Bracket Album. It is available at the Sweet Shoppe now.

I love making hybrid projects, and I plan to be making a LOT more in the near future, this is my most crafty time of year :)! I usually post instructions or at least tips and tricks at Scrapbook Ideas (scrapbookideas.wordpress.com)
Board book I made for a baby shower gift (Tips Here) (http://scrapbookideas.wordpress.com/2007/06/14/baby-shower-gift-idea/):

Don't mind the strange shadows on the cover, they're not from printing, they are just a reflection that was on there when I took the pic :).

My LSS does not have them precut, they sell chipboard in 12x12 sheets for 5 cents each though. That's what I used to make the round album I posted above. I got all my 4" chipboard coasters from emilymomto3boys, but you could also try eBay. I just saw a post by Amy Bleser @ SBB that she got 80 of them for $10.70 including s/h from a seller on there.

Myztic,
We've got several cool hybrid projects in our studios:
http://alteredartchicks.com/studio/main.php?g2_itemId=44
http://alteredartchicks.com/studio/main.php?g2_itemId=16
It can be hard to find cool chipboard products at your LSS and forget about the chain stores. That's why we started selling them online. I also like the Maya Road books.
This particlar project by Melinda Staley was so easy and it looks so cool in person!
http://alteredartchicks.com/studio/main.php?g2_itemId=122
I didnt' seen anyone answer your mod podge question about smearing so....in addition to gluing items on the back. Once they are affixed you paint a coat or two (depending on how much gloss you want) over the top of the print to seal it to the project. I don't usually have any smearing problems.
There is a really cool magazine called Creative TECHniques that really has so many cool ideas for computer crafting. It's amazing! It's usually in the last row of scrapping mags in my bookstore.

If you have a Dollar Tree, they usually always have coasters. You can drill holes and used office rings to hold them all together.

Susan, I LOVE your bracket book! That turned out beautifully!

The board books have a shiny surface does the surface affect the dry adhesive OR do you brush a coat of modge podge on to preserve it?

I used the Xyron Cheetah adhesive to adhere the pages to the book, I didn't use any mod podge on them at all & they have held up very nicely after almost a year. Of course these aren't looked at by little ones with grubby fingers on a regular basis so that probably makes a difference!

that's why I was asking. I wanted to make a few board books for my neices but wasn't sure if I should had an extra layer to preserve the layouts.
