I've been eyeing these actions for ages! Does anyone have them? What do you think of them - worth the money?

I don't have that one, although now that I have seen it, I want it! I have the old Color Wow 2 which I don't see anymore and I LOVE IT. I use it on almost EVERY color picture, it just brightens and pops the color so well! I think I paid 65 for those and they are just TWO actions so that proofing pack, 40 for $99, sounds like a great deal!

I have both the color wows. I don't use them as often as I thought I would but they are very much worth the money!

What is the colour wow action - I can't see that one advertised on the site? Is this an older action which cannot be purchased anymore?

I have them - to be honest I don't use them. I have some others from Photoblast and Amanda (fallintoblue.com) that I like better.

I have them as well, but haven't played with them much as I only recently got them - in honesty, just to see what the fuss is about! I don't see myself really using a lot the colour ones as they're not my style, but the B&W seem quite good - lots of options. I'm trying to put together a before and after comparison of the entire set at the moment because I see this question a lot. Will post back with a link when it's done. :)

I was happy when they developed the plug-in for the Itty Bitty stuff, but now they're gone. I've never really learned how to use them either. Bummer... :(

I'm shamelessly bumping this thread to say I've added PhotoBlast to my action comparison for those trying to choose between these! :D

I have the proofing actions and the custom storyboard actions. I am a professional photographer and I use them all of the time. I think that it's important to note, however, that if they are not stylistically in your field, you probably won't use them that often. I also have the kubota art pix actions. LOVE THEM and use them even more than itty bitty actions! You go go to http://www.kubotaworkshops.com/index.php

For those who have these, can you explain to me what makes them worth the amount of money being charged? I just don't get it......actions are not hard to make and I've made mine and priced them super reasonably and yet I've hardly sold any. I'm trying to determine if there is something extra added in these more pricey ones or if people are just of the mindset that you get better if you pay more. :think

Kim:
I think what makes Barb's actions so popular is that she has a wide variety of them for you to use. Do I use them all, no way, but it is nice having some that offer me the option of correcting my pictures because the color is so jacked up. Some of the actions also allow you to really be artistic with your pictures. So, for me, that made it worth the price. Also, if she sold them individually they are like $2.50 a piece.
I also think she has a following and a lot of photographers purchase her actions.

Okay, that makes me feel better. Mine are priced by the set but, still, they work out to be only $1.25 each which is FAR LESS than some places I've seen which sell them for $6 each.

Just adding my personal opinion ... I absolutely LOVE the Itty Bitty actions, and use them constantly. I am not a professional photographer, but I do take my photography very seriously! :) The thing I like most about the Itty Bitty actions is that they don't degrade the quality of your image, and the fact that you can make them do exactly what you want, i.e. editable all the way along the 'actions' process. Probably not making myself very clear ... but surfice to say, I love them, and would pay all over again to purchase the set. Sharon :)

I just saw some actions that look really awesome by Holly McCaig at PDW - very reasonably priced!

I agree. She has a big photography customer base. I originally got them when I was at ILP every single day reading up on photography. Which was almost a yr ago. The forum is huge and a lot of people purchase her actions, so... it's about word of mouth? Not to mention, photo actions have been around for a while, so it's hard to get the market now kwim? Unless you can come out with something completely different LOL
Good luck kim!

I've just bought the Scrapping Pro (http://scrappingpro.com/) plugins, which are linked to from Itty Bitty. I think they developed them together or something and then went their separate ways.
Anyway, they finally released the Version 2 they've talking about for a while. The great thing for me was not the increased number of colors and tones, but that I could try out a basic version for just 5 bucks. I'd been holding off buying the full version coz of the price.

Urg....I'm confused. Their pricing "grid" is confusing. I can upgrade to the whole new package of version 2 for only $4.95/$2.95 for the color/b&w? Or do I have to add each color?

The way I read their grids was like this:
- the purchase grid lets you buy V2 red, bronze, silver or gold - the price goes up as you get more colors / features
- the upgrade grid lets you upgrade from V2 red to bronze, or V2 bronze to silver, or whatever you want to do
- the bit you're referring to about 4.95/2.95 (Upgrade from V1) is for people who have already purchased V1. They can upgrade to the V2-Gold for those prices.
Did you see the explanation (http://www.scrappingpro.com/range/) they put up?

Yes, I saw it. I already have V1, and those prices aren't too bad for an upgrade. I was confused because they were stuck at the end of the Gold column instead of on their own. I need things in big letters and arrows that say "V1 OWNERS, UPGRADE HERE ---->" lol.....

Well put!:)
In the interests of building community, I've forwarded a link to this thread to them. Who knows, maybe they'll make things clearer.
What did you think of the V1 plugins?

What did you think of the V1 plugins?
I never really played around with them enough to really understand how to use them. I was hoping I'd get the "WOW" factor that seems possible with her PS actions. I also don't like how tiny the plug in box is that we have to work with. It would be nice if it was at least the same size as say....the Virtual Photographer workspace. IMHO of course.....
