I am a digi scrapper and designer but a newbie to hybrid and altered art. I would like to make friendship books but I'm not really sure how to start. I have a book to use but how do I go about doing the pages? Do I just make little mini layouts and print them and then somehow glue them to the book pages? And what's the best way to glue them? ANY advice you can give is GREATLY appreciated. :)

I would also like to make an altered journal. I already bought a blank notebook to use but, again, how do I start??

TIA!!

For the friendship book, Emily Giovanni has a cute how-to on her blog (http://emilygiovanni.com/?p=565) for board books. It is a hybrid project that would be really cute. I've never done an altered journal so I can't help you there. Sorry.

I am glad you found it helpful! I am planning to do these for all the grandparents this year - kind of a year in review of my boys. I think it's a great christmas gift!

Berna Datema at SBG even has a special kit for this, a friendship book that girls use for their friends.

She's got text-pages, photo-pages, elements, papers, printables. The kit is called Book of Friends.

Ya know, I actually saw that awhile back before I wanted to make one and I had forgotten about it. It's a great idea!! Thanks for letting me know!
