Default Scrapping Simply *Review*

In two words, Simply AWESOME!

Let me preface this by saying that I am picky, picky, picky about my prints. Back in the day of film the Walmart Camera dept would groan when they saw me coming because the knew some minor adjustment needed to be made. Hey, they're my memories, they should be as I took them right?

Places I've used for 12x12 prints:
GDS-really great job and fast but too pricey
sbtoshare-they are not bad but my standards are too high
mypictales-same as sbtoshare
scrapbook pictures-really great, you get exactly what you sent in and don't have to size for bleed. Prices are fair but I wait for sales.

Simply Scrapping
At first I found the site a little hard to navigate but that could totally be me. The one major thing I would suggest is an account setting so we can pop in and check things. The only way I can figure out how to sign in is if I upload LO's.
That aside, their customer service rocks. It had been a week and I hadn't heard from them. I sent an email and heard from them within a couple hours. When the emailed me back they said they showed shipped and if I hadn't gotten them by tuesday to call them and they'd reship. Then I got a call from Rex monday morning saying my package had been returned. I had a typo in my address. Totally my fault yet they reshipped them on their dime.
I received them just a little while ago and girls, they are stunning. Perfectly sharp, color dead on, just FAB! The only minor thing is that you should include a bleed. The cut off is tiny, seriously minimal but if it might bug you, do a small bleed. For price, quality and customer service they have their newest loyal customer!

I had the same experience - for quality and price Scrapping Simply can't be beat!

I totally agree with you! I tried them out and loved the prints I got - plus, my experience was they they were FAST! I ordered late Thursday night and got my prints in the mail Monday! (I'm sure it helps that I live on the west coast, but still!)

I love the quality too, and the prices are great (especially since I scrap 8x8).

I just placed an order. Order placed Sunday night. I ordered this. Straight uploaded from my computer. I figure its a good test page with the color gradations and stuff close to the edge.

As of right now, this place has the big thumbs down from me. It was easy to upload. Pretty quick. I typed the above post thinking I just had to run out to my car and grab my credit card. I changed it from Visa to AmEx on a little pull down menu and the thing automatically submitted wthout my card info and just kept "submitting," warning not to press back or refresh, without ever going to a new screen in 20 minutes. THe contact us page does not work. When I tried to sign up for an account it asked for my credit card info and wouldn't go forward without the info. Um. . . why would I give that info to sign up for a free account? So frustrated!

Hmmn, I never had problems with contacting them through the info page. Did you try calling them? I have the CS # is you need it. They really do have good CS, they'd want to know about this.

You don't have to enter a credit card at all for a free account. With that we give you free album storage too. hmmmm...are you sure you are on http:www.scrappingsimply.com?
Here is the deal with photo software platforms...there isn't one perfect one! (we actually pay to have 2 right now).
So, once you go to upload, you are using the software platform company that will host your pictures.
Believe me Wen, I have been frusterated too! you should however be able to look at your account without uploading LO's Wen, as long as you registered and made one!
So, our ALTERNATE uploader (bottom left corner on site) will allow us to use paypal, they don't have a fun interface with editing, etc., they won't allow coupon codes, but they allow us to upload our own product. The REGULAR uploader is the one you have all been using, it's a faster uploader, takes coupon codes & adjusts your total in your account, will allow free shipping when we offer it, but won't allow us to use pay pal, blah, blah.... you see our frustrations!? And we pay these companies per your upload!
So, just in case you were wondering...we are going to the PMA convention in Vegas the first of March, which we hope will have the latest and greatest in new photo software. (one of you need to create one for us!)
We will also be purchasing a better book printer that will print as beautiful as our single prints.
You guys all work so hard on designing beautiful layouts, we want them to stay beautiful! Let me know if you have any other questions or concerns!

or give them a call. I haven't ever had a problem with their website at all. That's bizarre.

I just got my third order from them last week. It's amazing! I am so excited to have found a place that I love!

There is nothing I hate more than when people complain on DST. At least now I have contact info so I can resolve it privately!
