Default Expanding my designing skills

I am a self taught Graphic designer. I do logos, brochures, some website stuff, etc. I am good with photoshop, and can manage illustrator and in design pretty well. I used to design digital scrapbooking stuff back in the day (2005 and 2006) but stopped because I felt I was lacking some knowledge.

I would love to get back in to it but I'm not sure where to start. I feel like I am still missing some essential skills needed. So where would you recommend that I go to learn? Is there any websites?

Is there any design mentors out there that would take me under there wing? Haha any help would be appreciated!

Thanks!
Jenn

There are classes at both Scrap Orchard and JessicaSprague.com if you're looking for classes

I have an ebook on the business side of designing.

And, you might be interested in this free manual on quality issues.

Jenn, what specifically do you think you're missing? It sounds like you have a good foundation of technical skills. I also started back in 2005. I worked at Scrap Girls and while alot has changed and scrap kits have evolved, the basic requirements for having a good eye for design, colour and detail are pretty much the same. Email me if you'd like to chat some more about it privately mail@dianerooney.co.uk

I'd be happy to help if I can.
