Cricut vs. Silhouette - thoughts?

Thanks for this thread, I came here to ask this myself and did the search 1st. Great info and I'm not all the way through yet. I had to comment before I lose track and forget. Catherine, your butterfly card is very beautiful. I may regret this, but I now must go see the kit, and others I'm sure you have too... Just more pretties to drool over, lol!
I am really leaning towards the Silhouette too. Cricut is an awesome name, but seems that in the long run I'll spend more money on shapes and such. I already have so many amazing elements from my digi-stash. I'd have to be able to cut those.
I am really dreaming here, the odds of being able to afford a machine anytime soon is crazy, but I love the idea!

Now I am in trouble... I visited your store, Catherine... So pretty!
I think it's kinda fitting that the butterfly that drew me to your store is from your kit titled: Folkart Love. The description of Polish and Amish... My grandfather was Polish, and I was raised not too far from the Amish countryside in PA... Just hit on a good note with me!
And Penguin Pals is just too cute for me to resist... It's on my wishlist to buy before Xmas!
