I love the picnic theme of your kit!!
My favorite smell from childhood is peppermint. My Grandma used to boil a few drops of peppermint oil in a pot of water, to 'freshen the house'. That was long before the commercial air fresheners. |

Beautiful kit! I grew up near Seattle, so my childhood usually smelled like rain on a sidewalk.

Beautiful! Thank you for the chance! I love your kits! My childhood smelled of my aunt's detersive for the washing machine! I remember that I adores that smell and I recognized my cousins thanks to that smell with my eyes closed too!!!

The smell of my childhood is the scent of rain in the air. In our dry climate, you can smell rain coming before it arrives. Brings back memories of soft summer afternoons walking in the rain and playing in the water as it runs down the gutters. Splashing my sister and cousins as we run barefoot across the fields. Thanks for bring those thoughts back to me again.

"Watermelon grass". My childhood smell comes to me only occasionally now, in my 50+ years. As a child I would love Saturdays, (as that was the only day people would mow their lawn it seems), when you would run and play outside with neighborhood friends and smell the fresh cut grass. It smelled just like when you cut open a watermelon. The lawns were all pristine and after the adult or teen mowed, then we kids would get the rakes out and rake and play. Sometimes, more play than raking. Most kids didn't like to have the job of picking up the raked piles and putting them in the trash, but I loved it, because I could bury my face in it and smell the "watermelon grass" before putting it on that growing trash pile. Ahhhh. Those were the days of freedom, fun and frivolity and I can almost smell the watermelon grass calling my name. Thank you for the "memories"

Hi,
__________________Wonderful kit!!! The smell of my childhood for sure is the smell of cookies that my grandmother made in the afternoon for us. Those warm cookies covered with sugar and cinnamon. Until today, my cousins and I (almost all married) asked her to do them and so whenever we feel like children playing in the backyard and ran into the kitchen when I felt that smell good. Hugs,
