Default Save Me Saturday 8/11/12

On Saturdays I thought we might start doing a fun thing called Save Me Saturday! I was thinking we could post a layout that we have been stumped on or is just unfinished and get ideas on it. Hopefully this will help us get some of those unfinished layouts finished and into albums! So I am off to find an unfinished layout to post. Go search your stash and find one you would like some help with. We'll put our brains together and get 'er done!

Here is mine. It has been sitting in my folder forever. I do realize my pictures are too dark and that needs to be fixed. Other than that what should I do with it???

First, I would crop those photos a lot so the people look closer. And maybe a light border around the title so it doesn't blend into the photos? Curious to hear what everyone else thinks!

Maybe it'll look different lightened up, but all I see is a huge light blotch that is the window, and a huge dark blotch which is the tree. Maybe you can crop some of it out?

Yea I hate all that brightness from the tank behind them. I wonder if I could just darken that part with the burn tool? Or maybe crop 2 in and leave one? Idk I just loved that tree so much. Im a tree person and I totally dont know why!

Try the Shadows and highlights adjustment, you can lighten the shadows and lower the highlights. I'd still crop some of it out, too. Maybe crop one really close so you can see their faces, and leave the others?

And I'm a lover of frames - maybe one of them, put a frame askew on top. You have almost all of your "stuff" on the right side - so the two sides don't really talk to one another. Also, play with the placement of your title. Have you tried it closer to your journaling block?

Try moving your picture to the right with the element border. The border will go over the tree in the photo and not detract from the pictures. Then your "white space" will run down the left side instead of the middle making the page seem less divided.
