Default PSE - I love my brushes, but...

I am a PSE user and love my brushes. I hate that I have to go to such lengths to rotate and/or resize them (the pull-down menu)... I'm wondering if there's a quicker way? Can anyone help?

Lazily yours... Chris

Well, maybe tell us how you are doing it to begin now. It is not that hard.

One of the easiest ways to resize quickly is by using the [ or ] on your board - - this make the size increase or decrease quickly.

As far as rotating them I don't know of another way to quickly rotate them other than the pull down menu under More Options and dragging the circle. PS3 is similar - -maybe someone else has a secret keyboard shortcut for us.

In PSE, PS, CS you can use your brush as a "stamp" on a new layer.

Then click ctrl + T. You will get a box around the brushed image and you can rotate and resize with this box (I don't recomend using this method to enlarge a brush by very much due to possible quality issues)

Thanks for the brackets pointer... I'll try that out.

My "best" techniques is to stamp on a layer and use the transform too to resize and spin - then I collapse the layers back into one when I'm "happy"...

I usually rotate my brush prior to stamping it onto its own layer. I never really rotate it much after stamping it on a layer unless it is to just nudge it a bit.

If you have a Wacom Intuos 3, you can get the 6D pen which detects rotation. If you're looking for a rather extreme solution.

You can also save the brush in a couple of different directions.....

I have to add that even in CS2, the rotation thing is a pain! I wish there were a better way too.
