Feeling a little freaked out here
We had an earthquake (well a tiny tremor) a few years ago here in England that just vibrated everything. We've just had another one that felt like the house was rocking back and forth! I know this is really minor compared to those who suffer the big ones, but WOW and that was freaky and weird! There are people calling my local radio station completely frantic about it!![]() I'm wondering how many places it affected! ETA: They've just released it on the news - 4.7 on the Richter scale. we have had a series of earthquakes in my area this month. Most are little 1.0-3.0 but there have been half a dozen 4.5+ ones. They don't "scare" me anymore but they do take you by surprise.

We had one, well it was 150 miles away, last week and we felt it. So weird! Check out this site, it lists all the earthquakes that have been recorded. It is so amazing to see how many there are. Kinda scary.

fyi, as someone who lives in earthquake country, 4.7 is nothing to sneeze at. perfectly reasonable to feel jolted and jittery. but as long as that one earthquake is it, well and good.

Where I grew up we had multiple earthquakes every day. Most of them you couldn't feel, but there were always the big ones in clusters! There was also a Navy base in our town, and the pilots flying often broke the sound barrier, and they did bomb testing underground as well... You never knew at first what that noise was... Bombs, planes or earthquakes! Crazy stuff! My little town was actually dubbed "The earthquake capital of the USA"
