Default Does PSE3 work with Vista?

I have an opportunity for a really great deal on a laptop but right now I have WindowsXP and I use PSE3 alot. I'm wondering if anyone knows if the program works in Vista?
Thanks!

I don't think that it does Erica. Sadly, this was the last best version of PSE. I don't really like what they've done with it recently. So you may need to upgrade. Newer versions aren't bad I don't think, just a lot of unnecessary things. I have PSE6 on my machine right now. I'm glad it's just the trial 'cause I hate it. I wanna know who thought up that black interface. Blech!

There is a way to load XP on a new Vista machine, I think, but I don't know how. I think some others here have done that.

A lot of programs have a black interface now. The men seem to like them. I think they make things harder to see. I agree with you. Blech!

I do believe that you can downgrade from vista to xp. Just do a google search.
I was thinking about buying a new computer because well I need more space.

But I don't want vista, so now I'm just going to pimp my computer. Just ordered an EHD.

Okay that was random...LOL

Thanks for the replies!

I found several people saying PSE3 will not work with Vista when I remembered I could also google it. I'm slightly sad because I've heard many other people also say they don't really like versions 5 or 6 but I guess I'll have to upgrade. I did think about upgrading my current computer (especially RAM) but it's almost 4 years old so it's really not worth it. I may look into loading XP onto the new one but I'm not very technically savvy so I'm thinking that may be beyond me.

I don't know any other Versions of PSE but 5 and I'm absolutely loving it.
So easy to use both for scrapping and designing.

I have also heard a few people say that PSE 6 is no good. So I'm not planning on upgrading. I'm just sticking with my good ol' PSE 5.

I got a new lap top for my birthday and it had Vista. My PSE3 would not work on it. So I gave my step son my new lap top and took his old one because I didn't want to upgrade! I've heard that PSE4 will work on it with a patch.

You could also check on eBay for the older versions of PSE. I bought my PSE5 off eBay (seller had a good rep.) and it works with VISTA (although I have XP).

Ok kinda OT but the reason they use the black is to save power/energy. There is somewhere you can go to do it to your whole computer. Crazy-save power-ruin eyesight?

It looks like you found your answer... but I just wanted to say PSE 4 does work and I didn't use a patch or anything.
