If you're bringing a friend.....
Just some tips on how to make sure that tomorrow's chat runs smoothly....
__________________* Encourage your friends to show up early and register on the forum. It's free. * Make sure that they have Java downloaded. It's free. http://java.com/en/ * This kit is HUGE. It's gonna take time to download. We will probably start handing out the password right away so that people can have it downloading while they chat and then hopefully after the chat they might feel inspired enough to start scrapping (well, maybe the west coasters will. East coasters might be ready for bed!  ) With handing out the kit and about 8 prizes AND trying to squeeze in some actual discussion about digi-scrapping, it's gonna be a busy chat! So let's all try our best to show up on time (if not early!) This should be lots of fun!

Shannon.. What I was thinking is.. IF possible, links to kit can be posted tomorrow few hours earlier than chat. This way they can download it before coming to chat and as soon as password is given out(by PM), they can open it during the chat. This way, if they have any questions about the kit, they can ask right away.

That would be a good idea! I'm still waiting on a tutorial and then we can zip it and password protect it. I'll post it as soon as we're done with all that. I think I'm gonna do one download of the whole thing and then break it down into several downloads for those on dial-up. The thing is HUGE!

Hello!
I just registered. My daughter invited me to try digiscrapping! I am excited to try it. Is it okay if we are on the same computer? We'd like to "attend" the crop together. I have my own email address, so the password would still go directly to me.

ok - I've checked all those things... and I should be good to go.
__________________Yeah,if we can download the kit prior, it should help with bandwidth, and then get the password at the chat... that always seems to work good. I'm sure however you handle it will be great Shannon. I have 2-4 of my "die hard paper scrapper friends" coming tonight and I want this to go as smoothly as possible.. so they see how "cool" it is and fun! I can't wait!

I'm so excited that it seems we'll have a pretty good turn out! Welcome mngramma!!  It's definitely ok if you're on the same computer! You can always download the kit onto your own computer later if you want!

I have invited my 'playgroup' to check it out! They always love the LOs I show off.. now, this is their chance to be just as cool as me! lol I'm also haivng my daughter attend the chat, since she's getting into digi scrapping lately.
