If you're looking for free fonts that really match your handwriting, try
Fonts for Peas

my favourite from there are pea Jane and pea Martha... but over 50 fonts made from real people's handwriting, you can probaby find something that matches yours!

That's a great idea to try and find one that matches your own handwriting!

These are my 3 favorites for a hand-written look:

FG Linnea
FG Amelia
FG Script Elegant

For a clean type, I like

AL Old Remington

Journal and mouse cuts Also use Tagettes a lot, at least when I use papers from Fhung. For some reason, this font just complements her kits

LOL - mine I love mine, but that's because it adds my own personal touch to the layout..one of the few things I was missing from my paper scrapping days.

Blackbeard tends to be one I use so often, though. It just fits the kinds of layouts I do, and has a look of a typewriter font, but is a little more bold. I find myself going back to it over and over again.
