Default Anyone ever posted png images with transparent backgrounds in Blogger?

I can't get it to work. It is filling the transparency with white when I put it on my blog. Help.

My blog header is a transparent png. I didn't do anything special to it. Where are you trying to add the graphic?

In Photoshop, go to resize image,
select 72 dpi, then select pixel size (ie 600 x 600)
The go to save as, under file type, select PNG
then upload to photobucket
That should do it.

It already is a png image with a transparent background. I'm trying to post it in a post.

Internet Explorer 6 (and below) does not render PNG transparencies when you are looking at them. It might not be Blogger, it could be your browser...

From memory..if you upload a png into a post it will add the white background. But if you add the image straight from photobucket it will show as a png. I can't even remember how I did it though...but I do remember having that problem.

I got the same results last night. Very strange.

I"ll keep an eye on this post, I'd like to know the answer also. I've not been able to get this to work either.

Just for my 2 pence, are you sure that the back ground is transparent. You need to save it as an un-flattened png. Make sure it doesn't have the padlock symbol next to the layer in PS/PSE before you save it.

The only way I've found of doing it successfully is to create a new layer UNDERNEATH your header as the bottom layer. Fill it with a colour but then 'turn it off', so it's no longer visible. Then 'save the file for web' as a png 24 file (in PS/PSE).

I upload my header direct to blogger from my computer but my labels are from photobucket links and both work fine in Firefox and anything above ie6.

Hope that helps,
Px

What exactly are you trying to do?

Perhaps there is another way around it?

K :-)
