Really though I think those were obnoxious people, and while I do think that the Tea Party has obnoxious people in it I still wouldn't label it something the Tea Party did, you know?

If that was the self-called affiliation, it will stand (for me), until the official Tea Party puts out word that they are not affiliatedto/do not support it/them or totally denounces them.

I know at the local level that there are some looney tunes that tend to try get involved in any type of group, protest, etc.
It's difficult for leadership local, regional or national to denounce all stupidity  . If that were true no group, including Congress or the President could get anything done for having to correct all the stupid things that are said- like Congressmen Hastings who said yesterday in the rule's committee- " There ain't no rules...we make them up as we go........." I haven't heard any Democrat or the President denouncing that. Then Biden says....We're going to control the insurance companies........oops.......he wasn't supposed to let that cat out of the bag. Someone (s) at the Tea Party rally in Washington said some dumb things yesterday. Does that discredit every other person there? No, in my opinion. It still is a free country and we still have freedom of speech so some knuckleheads came out. UGH. Yet Pelosi can say awful things about the Tea Party movement and somehow that is ok. BOTH are wrong. Oh- just saw a grassroots coordinator come out and denounced it- as well as Mr. Steele of the RNC.- The ugly comments of yesterday.

So everything that anyone says that is not denounced by leadership stands? Dems, Republicans, Tea Party ( which by the way IS NOT under Republican leadership, etc)
I, too, would love it but realistically don't think it will happen. I'm still waiting for an apology from Pelosi for her comments- it won't happen. That doesn't mean that is the consensus of all Dems. I just consider the source. I just have seen the local level and know it's not as easy as it would seem.
